Here are the (SO MANY!) details for your child's camp day at Playformance, please read carefully!

WHAT TO EXPECT from PLAYFORMANCE CAMP:
Playformance believes in the concept of Adventure Play. Adventure exists when there is engagement in play. Engagement comes from providing students with experiences that are unique and relevant. Playformance includes challenge-moments when students are on the brink of both success and failure and where they both succeed and fail. Adventure at Playformance is about taking risks. Playformance students are encouraged to take both emotional and physical risks where they experience natural consequences and results. For students to participate in any program like this there needs to exist an atmosphere of safety. Playformance provides a space where students can speak their minds and push themselves to new limits while experiencing the benefits of adventure and the comfort of a safe environment.

OUR ENVIRONMENT:
During our amazing camps, children will explore our 7,000 square foot play space, engage in community building games, and move their bodies all day! Playformance offers a dynamic variety of physical play activities designed for children of all temperaments and athletic inclination. Our focus is on building community and growing children’s social-emotional skills while providing the finest physical education programming in the world.

MASKING AND ILLNESS POLICY:
Most importantly, we will NOT accept children at camp who are sick. Any child showing any symptoms of illness including but not limited to fever, headache, coughing, sneezing, runny nose, or tiredness, will be sent home. If in doubt of your child's wellness or if there is illness in your household, PLEASE keep them home. Masks are optional and respected. Credits can be given to avoid the spread of illness. These are given on a case by case basis and a transaction fee will be applied. Email Austin at camp@playformancetucson.com

CANCELLATION POLICY:
We are a small business with a limited space camp with a waitlist. When a reservation is cancelled we are typically unable to fill that space. That said, we understand that there are situations that arise which may require cancellation or rescheduling. Reschedules with 7 days notice, are happily accommodated assuming there is space in another camp. Camps cancelled with at least 7 days before start of reservation may receive a full credit or refund for camp. If a customer cancels camp reservation with 7 days or less before reservation start, customer MAY receive credit based on circumstances. If reservation is cancelled within 24 hours of the start of camp, no credit or refund will be given. Exceptions may be made on a case by case basis. CAMP HOURS:
Camp 8:30-2:30. Tuesday - Friday (Week One - No Camp on Monday!)
Daily schedule:
Drop off is between 8:25-8:45am
8:30 Courtyard community time and opening circle. Coaches will greet, screen, and check children in. If you have any questions or need to discuss PLEASE contact us before camp at info@playformancetucson.com Children will be outside in the courtyard until 8:50ish. Be sure to label your child's gear!
9:00-10:00 games and activities with coaches and friends - first breakout
10:00-10:30 snacks and break. Children bring snacks from home. Please pack lots of snacks! We no longer have vending machines
11-12 games and activities with coaches and friends - second breakout
12-1:00 lunch breaks and free play
1:00 community game - examples include lip sync battles, performances by coaches, and whole group activities.
1:30 Final breakout activity
2:10 Closing circle and transition outside
2:15-2:30 Pickup

DROP OFF AND PICK UP LOCATIONS:

DROP OFF:
Drop off is between 8:25-8:45. Park in the lot just east of our building or on 7th and walk your child to the porch where you will be greeted by coaches to check you in. You child will say goodbye and head to our outdoor play space while we wait for all arrivals. Please do not leave your child until they have been checked in.

PICK UP:
Pick up is on our covered porch at 2:15-2:30. Please wait on the porch. Families whose children remain at Playformance after pick-up window will be charged $20 for each 10 minutes tarty. If you are going to be late PLEASE CALL 520-623-3904 if you are able so your child doesn't worry.
Quick parking is available to the east of our facility. This is a pay lot and permit only during the day so please do not stay in the lot outside of our pick-up window. Kids are not allowed in the parking lot without their adults. All adults picking up children must be on their approved caregiver list. Please let a coach know if they are going home with a friend, walking, or riding home on their own.

WHAT TO WEAR/ BRING:
-Clothes for playing and moving
-SLIP ON SHOES. Shoes are required when we are outside at all times.
-NO JEWELRY. Please remove jewelry or anything that may be dangerous for your child to wear.
-Refillable water bottle
-SNACKS! Bring plenty of snacks for the day. Scheduled snack breaks are offered midmorning but children are able to eat when they need to.
-BIG NUTRITIOUS LUNCH THIS WEEK IS A NUT FREE CAMP! Thank you for putting extra effort into keeping kids safe! No sugary drinks or soda please.
-NO PHONES or electronics allowed at camp. Children are NOT allowed to have their cell phones and must check them in with a coach. This includes CITs.

BEHAVIOR EXPECTATIONS:
Our goal is to create a community of children each week. We hope that every camper leaves camp with new friends and wonderful memories.
All campers will be expected to listen and follow the directions of the coaches. This is vital to the wellbeing and safety of your child and the other campers. If your child is struggling we will work with them to help find ways for them to succeed. If the challenging behavior dictates, we will then call a caregiver and work with them to resolve any issues. If the issues continue and our staff feels it is best, the child will be sent home and no refunds will be issued for that day. If your child is sent home, a phone meeting or in person meeting will need to be scheduled for your child to return to the camp community. We will work will all children to be successful at Playformance. We often find the children who need the most support from us are the ones who benefit the most from Playformance.
All campers will be expected to be kind towards other campers.

We have 2 principles of play at Playformance. 1) We play to have fun and 2) we take care of the people. Any violent aggressive words or actions towards other campers or coaches will not be tolerated. If your child uses violent words and or actions towards another camper they will be sent home for the day. If your child is sent home, a phone meeting or in person meeting will need to be scheduled for your child to return to camp.
If you have any concerns or questions about your child's experience at Playformance Camp please make arrangements to talk with a coach before drop off or after pick up. Coaches will not be available to talk during drop off or at pick up about your child's behavior or needs. Please email us at camp@playformancetucson.com or call 520-623-3904. OTHER IMPORTANT NOTES:
-Please check in all prescription medications and complete the medication form at drop off.
