JAMaROO Kids is now offering Music and Movement classes for younger students, and Dance and Creative Movement for older students on Thursdays! To learn more about our programs, please see below!

In our Music & Movement class, clap your hands, stomp your feet, and shake your hips to the rhythm and the beat! In the JAMaROO Kids Music & Movement classes, we’ll sing traditional songs and learn original ones too (many written by our own teachers). Our music curriculum has been developed to spark creativity and incorporate imaginative play. Each month, we’ll focus on a different seasonal curriculum that incorporates the use of puppets, books, and other props to maximize the educational experience and keep classes fun and exciting! Throughout the year, our teachers will use a variety of simple instruments and introduce children to different genres of music from around the world. Through movement activities, children will build gross motor skills, directly encouraging strength, balance, and coordination. Our teachers will use bean bags, scarves, shakers, rhythm sticks, and other equipment to make classes more interactive and hands-on.

In our dance classes, come fly like a butterfly, hop like a bunny, stomp like an elephant, and tip toe like a mouse! In the JAMaROO Kids Dance and Creative Movement Classes, children are introduced to the basics of dance. Classes include a warm-up circle, stretching games, imaginative dance, partner dance, and free dance. Throughout the year, students will build their dance repertoire by adding: combination steps, body isolations, and layers of movement, keeping them challenged and engaged. Dance and creative movement is a wonderful way to foster self expression, while building gross motor skills, which we know are so essential to a child's ability to be independent and confident! In all of our JAMaROO Kids classes children are introduced to different genres of music from around the world, and are encouraged to use their imaginations. Each month we will focus on music & dance moves from a different part of the world.

At JAMaROO Kids all of our music, dance, and yoga curriculum is developed to support and foster all five key areas of development: Cognitive, Speech & Language, Gross Motor Development, Fine Motor Development, Social and Emotional.

Monthly Tuition: $68 monthly, billed to your card automatically monthly beginning June 15th. Purchases made after the first class on June 15th will be billed monthly from the date of purchase. Covers an average of 4 classes monthly.

This is a private class- only children currently enrolled at Golden Poppy may attend.

**PLEASE NOTE: This is an automatic payment each month. If you need to cancel, or your child is no longer enrolled in Golden Poppy, it is your responsibility to cancel your membership via Care.com, or by emailing jamarookids@gmail.com, to prevent further payment. No refunds for absences.
